Meet the Staff

Ellen

I have been an orthodontic dental assistant for more than 30 years and I enjoy my work more than ever! The changes that I have seen over the years in technique and technology have made orthodontics more comfortable and results better.  I especially enjoy watching our patients’ smiles change along with their self-confidence. The patients are the best part of my job! When I am not in the office, I love spending time with my husband, Mark, and our children, Scott and Kelly. We also have a pup named Roxy! I am a beach lover along with all of my coworkers.

Jesenia

As the schedule coordinator, I am often the first voice you hear and the first face you see!  I maintain the office and patient schedules in our practice. I do the best I can to accommodate every patient, and always try to put smiles on their faces! I am always friendly, and you will never catch me having a bad day here. I especially love to cook new recipies with my friends. At home, you can usually find me spending quality time with my daughter, Amani and my son, Amille.

Candace

Hi! I am both a scheduling coordinator and orthodontic assistant, so you will see me everywhere!. I love working with our patients, getting to know them, and enjoying a good laugh! The best part of my job is the excitement I feel from watching our patients gain confidence as they achieve their new smiles. In my off time, I enjoy relaxing by the pool, going to concerts, and exercising with friends. I also really love arts and crafts!

Joy

I work as an assistant for Dr. Byrd and I also trained as a dentist in my former home in the Phillipines! I enjoy talking with my patients and asking questions about their interests. Making them comfortable in our office is my goal. The best part of my job is assisting in removing braces!! When patients see their new smile, it always makes me smile! When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my family! I am happily married to Jojit, and am mommy to our two kids, Ella and EJ.

Toni

I work as Financial Coordinator and handle all things related to the financial part of the practice. I have been working in the orthodontic field for more than 25 years, and have worn all the various "hats" of orthodontics. I love working for our doctors because they are excellent orthodontists as well as wonderful, caring people. In our practice, we are always improving patient care, from the coffee and treats in the waiting room to the excellent care our patients receive in the clinical area. At home, my husband, Marvin, and I spend quality time with our children, Emily, Duke, and Kelly.

Tracey

As an experienced orthodontic assistant I help our doctors with every aspect of  patient care.  I enjoy engaging our patients through conversation and asking about their activities in school and vacations. Helping patients to understand their care is a particular goal for me. In my time away from the office, I spend time with my husband and two sons. I also enjoy bowling, singing in the choir, and missionary work such as feeding the homeless, and ushering in church.

Liz

I am the treatment coordinator, and I help guide our new patients into orthodontic treatment! The best part of my job is meeting new patients and their families. We have a terrific team here in NW Washington! Our doctors and staff are professional and incredibly friendly. Also, we are known as the cookie office! We give every new patient a beautifully decorated Bird House cookie at their first visit. At home, my husband Peter and I have a family cat named Chelsea!

Tammy

Hi, I work as a dental assistant and I have been with Dr Byrd's practice since 1992! I love working chair-side with our patients and helping to make every visit comfortable and positive! I like to get our patients to open up and talk about different things, like school, sports, pets, or vacations. When I’m not at work, my husband, John, and I, spend time with our two sons named Wyatt and Carter. When I’m not watching my boys play sports, I’m either running, going to the beach, or signing up for different art classes!
