Every smile starts with an initial consultation!
Your initial consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, learn more about orthodontics, receive an initial exam, and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs. During your initial consultation, we will:
- Review your dental and medical history forms
- Provide an oral exam, with photos and xray images to determine if treatment is necessary and the timing most beneficial to your result
- Help you create a customized treatment plan
- Discuss all financial information and payment plans
If you have had xrays taken within the past year, please arrange for them to be sent to us in advance of your visit. Our team will be glad to answer any questions you may have, and we will provide all of the information you need to determine which treatment is right for you.
What happens after the initial consultation?
You're one step closer to achieving the smile you've always wanted! After your initial consultation, your records are reviewed in depth and we consult with any other dentists and health professionals involved in your care. After a final treatment discussion and letter, we are ready to guide you into treatment and schedule your appointments.
Office Hours by appointment:
Monday -Friday 7:30 to 4:30
Visiting the orthodontist about every four to eight weeks is an important part of your orthodontic treatment. Our practice will work with you to make sure your appointments are as convenient as possible. When scheduling appointments, please let us know what days and times work best for you.
Since early morning and late afternoon appointments are in highest demand, we alternate those desireable appointment times with the mid-day appointments to be fair to everyone.
We understand that “life happens!” If you're running late or need to reschedule, please let us know, and we will do everything we can to accommodate you. If you need to cancel or change your appointment, we appreciate at least 24 hour notice whenever possible.
Last minute appointment cancellations may be difficult to reschedule during the popular times of the day, but we always have times available if your schedule is flexible, Urgent concerns are always handled same day, and we are on call evenings and weekends for concerns that cannot wait until the next business day.
Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment
It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist every three to four months during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. Upon request, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to remove and replace your wires to make your cleanings easier. We partner closely with your dentist to give you the best care possible.
